When selecting the last character in a buffer, pressing a moves the cursor to before the character, like when pressing i, and then places the cursor on the previous character when Esc is pressed to enter Normal mode.

When selecting the last character in a buffer, pressing `a` moves the cursor to before the character, like when pressing `i`, and then places the cursor on the previous character when `Esc` is pressed to enter Normal mode.
