* Trump signed a bill **repealing internet privacy rules** that would have given internet users greater control over what service providers can do with their data ([The Hill 2017](https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/327107-trump-signs-internet-privacy-repeal))
* This would have required broadband companies to get permission from their customers in order to use sensitive data like browsing history, geolocation and financial and medical information.
