There's no need to discriminate against life forms that aren't carbon based such as silicon life or extraterrestrial intelligence and this issue does not intend to do so. Generative "AI" heedlessly recycles code it's seen and lacks the basic mindfulness necessary to contribute to Bonsai. Given the prevalence of generative "AI" tools such as [GitHub Copilot](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GitHub_Copilot) which [are of questionable ethicacy and legality regarding copyright](https://www.fsf.org/news/publication-of-the-fsf-funded-white-papers-on-questions-around-copilot) I think it's worth banning it outright within Bonsai. This seems to be a common move among [to whomever Cisco vends](https://investor.cisco.com/news/news-details/2024/More-than-1-in-4-Organizations-Banned-Use-of-GenAI-Over-Privacy-and-Data-Security-Risks---New-Cisco-Study/default.aspx) and [the Gentoo Linux project has also done so](https://www.theregister.com/2024/04/16/gentoo_linux_ai_ban/).
